If you have several black walnut trees on your property you might consider collecting the nuts in the fall and taking them to the more than 250 hulling locations around the Midwest and East Central US. First, see if there is a location near you at this website. Payment is based on nut weight and percent nutmeats. In 2011 over 26 million pounds were collected and sold!
