October 14th - registration deadline

Spend a crisp fall day getting to know fellow women woodland owners, learning more about caring for your land, and having fun! Join us at the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge to learn more about the Wildlife Refuge, hear about WWOA updates, take a couple of walks to see more of the Refuge while learning about the wildlife habitats and invasives found there. We will also learn more about the USFWS Partners for Fish and Wildlife program. We will be joined by USFWS Private lands biologist, Mark Pfost and Bernie Williams, WI DNR Plant Pest and Disease specialist.

Dress for the weather (indoor and outdoor activities) and possibly ticks or other insects. Bring your binoculars for fall birding and wildlife watching. Warm drinks, snacks, and lunch will be provided.

Directions: The refuge is located 150 miles from Milwaukee, WI and 180 miles from Minneapolis, MN. Most of the refuge lies north of WI Hwy 21 and west of WI Hwy 80, with all property in Juneau County. The visitor center is located north of WI Hwy 21 off Headquarters Road. Please note that Google directions will take you to the middle of the Refuge. The Refuge Visitor Center is located off of Hwy 21, 4 miles west of Necedah, WI or 18 miles east of Tomah, WI. To reach the Visitor Center, turn onto Headquarters Rd and travel 2 miles into the interior of the Refuge.
